Question #1:Based on the information in the chapter and the topics we have discussed in class today, would you prefer to teach in a classroom that had more or less digital technologies? Why or why not


Answer:
I would prefer to teach in a classroom with more technology. Even though this may have both its positive and negative aspects, I feel a room with more technology would have a "leg up" on a classroom with little digital technology. When I first think about this the old phrase "Its better to have and not need, then to need and not have", pops up in my mind. There are many things you can do with technology to help your students learn and really comprehend the information beign thought. Not only could technolgy help the stuendents, but it could help the teachers as well. The textbook talks about electronic whiteboards on page 154. With electronic whiteboards you would be able to save the information you write incase you have students absent that day or you (the teacher) has to take a personal day. This would allow a student to catch up very easily on notes; or have a substutite teacher run the class very smoothly. Using technology in a classroom can be very useful, and I think I would like to use what it could offer me.
